In connection with Meridian Gallery's 20th anniversary and the summer long events programming, Favorite This! organized by Carolyn Castaño, is a screening of video works by some of her favorite artists from Los Angeles, San Francisco and beyond.

Favorite This! takes its title from the blogging and viral video phenomenon of "favoriting" and/or "sharing" an internet find. Favorite This! seeks to connect the work of video artists with video work spread across the internet in social media websites such as Facebook, MySpace and YouTube.

Screening on July 10th from 8:00-1:00 am. Come by, drop by, walk by or drive by. Favorite This! will be on view inside the Meridian Gallery and visible on Powell street.

Exhibition

Double Vision Happiness

Meridian Gallery celebrates its 20th Anniversary this summer with Double Vision Happiness, an exhibition of three floors of paintings on billboard vinyl by painter Jianwei Fong of Shanghai, San Francisco's sister city. In keeping with the gallery's legacy of cross-cultural collaboration he will also team up with Bay Area video artist Ruth Eckland to create a site-specific installation, probing the language of advertising, landscape painting, and global exchange.
