Film Screening of Hans Jurgen-Syberberg's Our Hitler (Germany 1977)

Date: Apr 05,2009

Time: 01:00 PM - 09:30 PM

Our Hitler, Hans-Jurgen Syberberg's best known film famously runs some 8 and a half hours. The length, as well as the structure and form of this surreal avant-garde masterpiece functions as a powerful meditation on memory, loss, and humanity, making liberal use of back projection, puppets, mannequins, and selections from German films, literature, and music. It will be shown with a break for dinner.
