Meridian Interns Program Artist Instructors
Artist Instructors as Role Models
Since its inception SAPA/Meridian has had a policy of hiring those Artist Instructors for the intern program chosen for their ability to convey their love of the modes in which they work, for their ability to model their own professionalism for the youth, and for their interest in interacting with the young people to widen their vision of the possible. We also look for artists who convey their value of work. We have been able to attract an amazing group of working artists over these years; some have stayed for only a full year, others have returned until professional commitments have drawn them to other cities, other opportunities. Nearly all have been with the gallery for several year round sessions.
Instructors from 2009-2010 include:

- Vita Hewitt, photographer and performance artist
- Rye Purvis, visual artist
- Brion Nuda Rosch, visual artist
